Lori
I’m Lori Bandy, born in 1964 and a seventh generation native Floridian. I grew up reading books, lots of them. My mother taught me to read at a relatively early age and my favorite book was “Hello Rock” by Roger Bradfield. This book is still in my collection today. With no home computers during that time, it was a tape recorder that my father gave me which served as my journal; tapes were filled with the day’s activities or opinions that I had at the time. Apparently, I had plenty to discuss because there were boxes and boxes of full tapes.
Today, the books that I currently own are actually downloaded onto my Kindle and they range anywhere from fiction and spiritual guidance to gardening and how to do-it-yourself projects.
I feel that sharing ideas and/or thoughts we’ve learned from our experiences and through books can be invaluable and prove to help each other grow individually. Sharing with each other gives us an opportunity to take away from that experience as much as we feel we would like to take.
Although my professional background is in the corporate world of accounting and programming; my first love is and will always be reading and sharing those thoughts and ideas with others.
