Operation Repo Real or Fake? (Spoilers)
By: Blake
When I first saw Operation Repo I loved it. Seeing these crazy people having their vehicles repoed was very entertaining, but after I watched a few episodes I started to wonder how this repo team could possibly encounter this many insane people… every episode! I did some looking online and have found that many other people have had the same suspicion as me and I have ultimately come to the conclusion that the show is fake, for several reasons.
One odd thing I noticed is that the Operation Repo team doesn’t wear any type of uniform or company logo that shows they are legit and not just stealing. If I were doing a repo, I would want to identify myself to reduce the chance of getting shot while trying to take someones vehicle on their property. If they see that you are working for a repo company they would be more likely to cooperate, besides no uniform just isn’t professional. Instead, Sonya wears her gothic black dress and Matt wears his tattered blue overalls.
Another thing about the show is the outrageous incidents that happen. One show Matt was driving the tow truck with a repoed vehicle hooked to it and was complaining about having to “drop a deuce”. He ended up flipping the car they were towing because he couldn’t hold it in. The “boss” Lou fired him and rehired him the next day.
The most obvious red flag is the disclaimer at the beginning of the show. It basically says that the show is reenactments of actual events. I’ve been looking online for the disclaimer and have had no luck. Luckily I had some Operation Repo shows still recorded on my DVR. This is the entire disclaimer for Operation Repo:
The stories that are portrayed in this program are based on real events. The names of the characters were changed in order to protect their identities… and some honor.
There you have it.

Unbelievably, my twenty year old son figured out this show was fake before me. As far as Dog the Bounty hunter, he and his crew don’t wear uniforms… I do NOT want to know if their show is fake too!
July 28th, 2009 at 9:25 am
Maybe, I think so because you are right lou did fire and then rehire matt. I wonder.
August 15th, 2009 at 6:52 pm
I don’t care what anyone says, the show is REAL! What, you can’t fire someone and hire them back the next day. That happens all the time. When the person that fires you cools off and has time to think about it, sometimes they change their mind. And to answer the question why each episode there is a lot of drama, it is because they only show us the interesting epidodes we want to see. Do you think we would be interested is seeing them reposses a car in the middle of the night while everyone is sleep, how boring would that be.
August 18th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
I’m so bummed and feel stupid and kinda betrayed. I thought I could trust tru tv and discovery as fact. What a naive dork, so does that mean the hauntng is fake too? I know its re-enactments, but do the stories have any hint of truth? BUMMER!!!!!! anyway, I was always wondering why they didn’t use a tazer instead of pepper spray–whoopee!!! well, I guess I’ going to clear that series off my series recording. Does this mean ghosthunters is fake? If it is, its boring cuz we never get to see half of the stuff. well, I’m going to go pout for a while. TOTALLY BUMMED!!!!
August 25th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
Is it me or has anyone else noticed that the episode where the girl lets the suv go into the lake is the same place where they repo the jet skies? Also, the episode I just watched when they repo the burned mitsubishi montero looked like the one the crazy guy burned in a earlier episode. Just wondering if you all noticed this also
August 29th, 2009 at 2:58 am
I was so upset when I found out this show was fake! I really liked it. My Husband pointed out several mistakes that the production team made. One episode the one where Matt found the raw chicken in the trunk. It was the newest one. Once Matt opens the trunk if you look close enough the trunk was lined with black trash bags. You can see the duck tape holding it together. Later in the show they had a police officer come and pick up a suspect. If you look at the police car there is no making on the car. It is a black and white car that looks like one but no decals on the car. When the Cop gets out of the car he is alone! IN LAS ANGLES! The funny thing was his uniform had no badges at all. He had a badge, but if you look close he was wearing high tops! Not police shoes that is required for his job, not to mention the 80′s style sunglass on his head, even thought it was in the evening with no sun. Again Sonia and the daughter went to repo a SUV that was burnt. If you look at the car it is burnt, but someone cleaned it. There was no glass, and if you look close there is no engine! You can tell by the way the front of the car was sitting. If you look close all the interer was taken out! No dash board, or anything? Why didn’t the car’s tires burn? And why if it burned can you still see the paint on the car. Another thing is the house in the background is empty, but the 2 guys claim that they live there. Come on, no one lives in that house! I just thought it was real and I really liked the show, but I can now tell it is fake, so I don’t even watch it now. I watch DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER! Now that show is real!
August 31st, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Ya I love this show but unfortunatly its reinactments. It did take me a few episodes to realize it. I was a former marine and it wasn’t till i saw some fight seens where I noticed how scripted all the “moves” were. It is still a damn funny show!
September 1st, 2009 at 1:00 am
LOL.. it’s obviously fake. I just googled it because my friend and I just got into an argument. We just saw our first episode. I said it was fake.. he thought it was real. He thought bangbus was realt too…. what a sucker.
Actually it wasn’t hard for me to figure out it was fake.. the acting of the “customers” was horrible. Plus all reality shows are scripted…sad.
September 1st, 2009 at 3:50 am
The show is half real half reenactment. When I saw the episode where Matt gets kicked in the balls by the son of an elderly man who was getting his car repoed, that was when it struck me that its a fake. The “fight” was worse than the wwe or wwf. It looked so fake it was laughable. Im kinda pissed because I recently started watching it and i was actually digging it. If it was real, Matt, when recovered, would have ripped that kids head off. I feel duped too!! Nice fake wrestling moves Operation Repo…
September 1st, 2009 at 4:11 pm
I am so dissapointed,I watch this show every Monday on Tru-tv I thought it was so so real.
so dissapointed
September 1st, 2009 at 7:43 pm
This show is for sure fake. Far too many outrageous things happen and the people are almost always there waiting and ready for their car to get repo-ed. Pay attention and you will catch mistakes that couldnt happen in real life.
September 2nd, 2009 at 12:09 am
of course its fake why do u think they have a wrestler? And in every fight look how pre scripted it looks, like when that guy got beat up by the bikers why didnt they show his face after they picked him up from the floor? it didnt even look like they kept hitting him like one punch is gonna cause that much HOLLYWOOD scaring hahahahhaha.
September 14th, 2009 at 12:15 am
This is to Valerie Bostic, for August 15th. You are an idiot. Do not defend this crap. It is people like you that keep this inaccurate television show on TV. Do a google search and get a clue. Or watch the show and use common sense.
September 21st, 2009 at 10:43 pm
in 1 episode a crazy guy tazers matt. but who gives a f@#! hes and A$$hole!
November 6th, 2009 at 1:58 am
Check out wikipedia. They even say the show is fake
November 13th, 2009 at 3:59 am
At first I thought it was real, but after watching it several times, especially recently, it’s totally fake, and Matt is always breaking something, and some hot chick is always jumping on them. Matt pretends to hit people or get hit. Just plain stupid.
November 19th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Who Cares it’s stuff funny as hell.
November 30th, 2009 at 12:27 am
this is a fake ass show hahahahah
December 16th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
I had a feeling operation repo was fake. Its to bad couse operation repo could have been a great show if it were live and real.
I used to like dog the bounty hunter but I think it’s a lame lately. If you want real action no BS then watch the first reality show that started the whole reality craze…COPS. At least you know that’s real and raw. I am tired of watching dog run after someone screaming yelling at someone and they turn out to being no threat at all. Dog the bounty hunter is
Crap period. I watch it now just to laugh at dog when he over reacts.
January 2nd, 2010 at 3:13 am
I thought it was real until I watched this one episode. They were trying to repo this rich guys car and he was drinking beer from a bottle. He took the bottle and hit Lou on the head with it. The bottle shattered into a hundred pieces immediately. It was obviously a prop. There are videos on the net where people smack themselves in the head with beer bottles and they do NOT break like that.
January 7th, 2010 at 4:36 pm
The episode when they went to Compton to get a car, 3 gangbangers came out and not one of them threw a punch. Plus the bat they came out with was taken away by a FAT slow guy! In real life, blood would have been spilled. THE SHOW IS A FAKE!
January 8th, 2010 at 1:12 pm
I was hooked on this show until I watched my 2nd episode when the crazy Michael Jackson wannabe wouldn’t let his DeLorean go without a fight…and a moonwalk. It just seemed TOO crazy. I then started to realize that all these people seemed to be acting – poorly might I add. You could tell they were waiting to say their lines. Ridiculous. I understand reality is scripted most of the time, but don’t try and make it come off as real. Just like MTV’s crap – it’s not reality, it’s annoying. DOG The Bounty Hunter does not seem fake to me. They just don’t appear to be acting, nor do they have a crappy disclaimer at the beginning of their show. Sonia is just a Beth wannabe!! Stupid show – don’t waste your time!
January 13th, 2010 at 1:22 am
LOL too all you people out there saying “even wikipedia says it”, are you fucking retarted or what. Wikipedia is not an accurate nor creditable website for any form of research, lol go to the fucking library and read a fucking book you mooks.
P.S Just case you see something online dosent mean its all true…..use your heads people
January 20th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
operation repo is lame and everyone one there is a horrible actor. this show should be cancelled
January 25th, 2010 at 9:03 pm
Man what a let down. My brother in law told me it was fake and I swear at that moment it was like finding out Santa was a sham!! But everyone is absolutely right. There weere just too many red flags. There is no way that they come in contact with these insane crazy people every single episode. Midgets, XXX models, Gangbangers, ninjas…I mean COME On!! It all makes sense now. I cant understand why this would be on TRU TV if it is staged. Lou as a former Marine (allegedly)should be ashamed of this fraud.
January 29th, 2010 at 2:42 am
ok people if you will notice that it says that there based on real events so that suggests renactments but i saw one episode where the head camera guy was getting the guy to sighn papers to show that footage on tv. if you’ll also notice that the ones with the blurred faces are real ones no actors. they’re a real repo company but obviously all the repos are not that intence but why would they waste their time renacting or showing the boring ones. also they don’t just go pushing guys around with no reason obiously they feel threatend and they do it out of self defence. ive just read a lot of bull on these forums of sceptics that think they know every thing.
February 2nd, 2010 at 10:55 am
I knew it was fake because whenever they call the police, they arrive on scene in minutes. This never happens!
February 24th, 2010 at 3:28 pm
You mean to tell me that everything I see and hear on the TV isn’t real? Damn, does this mean that Star Trek was “fake” to?
March 6th, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Yeah I knew it looked funny… its kinda like Pokemon they always all where the same clothes haha!
March 14th, 2010 at 2:19 am
The show is fake. If someone was repossessing your car, plane, or helicopter, wouldn’t you wonder why there were people there with cameras? I think it would be one of the first things I would ask. Yet, no one ever asks about them. Also they show no identification, no paperwork, and in one episode immediately put a guy in a headlock then ‘repossessed’ his helicopter. Right before this they had mentioned how careful they would have to be since the events of 9/11. This was being careful? Not once did they mention they were repossessing his helicopter until they had taken his log book and started it up.
I’ve never had a repossession but, it seems to me that would have to show some type of identification or paperwork prior to taking your car or truck away. I also noticed that several of the policeman that did show up on the few episodes I watched had on uniform shirts with blue jeans. It also says at the beginning of the show that it is a reenactment. I still find it slightly entertaining. If nothing else it is different. Tonight when watching it I thought how great it would be if the TLC group from ‘What Not To Wear’ could get hold of the people on this show. Especially Sonia. Surely she’s kidding with the makeup, jewelry, and clothes.
March 14th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Have you also noticed that anytime the police get involved they do not have any patches on their arm that identifies what city or county they are with? The Police car doesn’t say it either, it most the time just says Police.
March 15th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
These are a family of fat “arrogant low-level-class” latinos that have the chance to be on TV; all of them show their ignorance by celebrating and laughing at the drama that went on everytime they do a repo….that is a true sign of people without education. They don’t even verify their information before they take a car or other property. Now, that fat lady with tatoos (whoever that is…) also became a “blond wannabe”…stupid look! and the other fat that shouts he was a “marine” before…a “shame for the marines”, Iwould say, with that stomach? a marine?. Get them off the air!
SHAME FOR AMERICAN TV…
March 15th, 2010 at 10:16 pm
I AGREE…EVERY REPO IS A “KNOCK DOWN DRAG OUT” THIS IS SO FAKE BECAUSE I DOUBT PPL WOULD BE SO ANGRY EVERY SINGLE TIME, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SEE CAMERAMEN RECORDING THEM!! YOU HAVE TO AGREE TO BE ON NATIONAL TV SO THEY HAVE TO AGREE TO BE ON THE SHOW DUH!!!
March 16th, 2010 at 3:30 am
Believe me guys this is no fake. have u seen all of these low budgets movies with so many bad actors. if this was fake there would be so many bad actors in here that it would be obvious but there is none and i am good of telling the difference so all you hate shut the f up and go on with your miserable life
March 18th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
the worst episode is when they repo the helecopter. the man just walks into his office where matt is waitng for him then matt jumps him for no reason he basicly beats the crap out of him the man didn do anything wrong!!! they always try and act like secret agents or somthing never knocking on doors and asking the owner to sign anything they try and sneak the car oyt wich never works why would it wih that loud ass truck there all 300 + pounds and how do they always know excactly where the car is they go to restarraunts and stuff an knw exactly where it is everytime but i love it
March 28th, 2010 at 6:09 pm
It is fairly easy to tell it is fake. Everyone who feels it is real should look at the facts. You can be ignorant and ignore the facts but this show is FAKE.
March 29th, 2010 at 11:08 pm
Show is obviously fake… too many things to list. Even if the events really took place the disclaimer at the beginning of the show tells you the events are purely reenactments anyways. Wikipedia as mentioned before also tells all.
March 29th, 2010 at 11:55 pm
I stuck up for this show but then i did a little research and yes froy is in fact a make up artist he was a make up artist for the movie ali and another movie you can even google his name and his pic pops up with the movies so… now i am having serious doubts that maybe some of these episodes have been scripted and maybe even all. but go ahead if you dont belive me google ali make up artist or even just his name
April 20th, 2010 at 4:07 am
People, just read the disclaimer at the beginning of the show: ” The stories that are portrayed in this program are BASED on real events.
The names of the characters were changed in order to protect their identities…and some honor. ”
BASED on real events means FAKE. And if you have to read the disclaimer to discover this, well that’s just sad. After the first 20 minutes I knew the show was BS without even seeing the disclaimer.
Case closed. Move along here folks… nothing to see.
April 27th, 2010 at 7:50 pm
lol its clearly fake – lets the diclaimer as much says so . not to mention repo people are under strict laws. they cant fight , they cant man handle people , they cant break into peoples property . if you watch it its clearly acting too . as for dog the bounty hunter he is for real – his diclaimer just says dont try this at home . and dog can legally man handle people .
May 11th, 2010 at 11:03 pm
This show is re-enactments based off of real events, but of course the re-enactments are more dramatised for entertainment purposes. If you really pay attention you can tell that those are re-enactments. For one thing most repos are done late at night. Another thing is that the people are always right there on the scene when their car is about to get repossessed and you can tell that many of them are overreacting about getting their cars repoed. The repo people never show any kind of I.D. and at times they don’t present any paperwork from the finance companies. Even when they do have paperwork, the people that are getting their cars repossessed never ask to read them. And it is very unlikely that any reputable repo people would be dressed like that, especially Sonia. She is made up like that to make the show interesting. And the biggest red flag are the confrontations. There is no way that they could pepper spray people, hit people, push people, and put choke holds on people like they do without breaking the law. And many times the people had not even touched them. If that was real, those people would be filing assault and battery charges against them left and right. I really liked the show and I wanted to believe for the longest that the show was real, but after awhile I finally had to concede that it wasn’t. But the real clencher is you never hear anybody call Sonia a fat ugly b$tch. If that was real those people would be calling her all kinds of fat, ugly, b$tches, especially when she is all up in their faces, talking crazy to them and trying to take their car.
June 1st, 2010 at 2:08 am
I watched this show 4 or 5 times and I was like wow how crazy are those folks in Los Angeles?! I mean EVERYONE freaks and no one calmly says yeah, you’re right I haven’t made a payment in 3 months. I know we live in a crazy world but there really are lot’s of people who still have some dignity. My late husband and his best friend worked for a repo company and 90% of people willingly turn over the keys and all of them are highly embarrassed about losing the vehicle. They did run into a few who got angry and if they could not get the person to hand over the keys calmly, thye police were called. No fights no screaming (well people losing the cars screamed not repo guys) I knew this show was fake when the girls went to repo a car that was not returned by a fired employee. The uy did not tell his wife and she was surprised but still on the husbands side. Realisticlly she’s gonna beat him down and yell at him for not telling her!
June 25th, 2010 at 8:28 pm
I am shocked that some of you EVER believed it was real. I just got done watching one scene and came on the internet to confirm because it was so blatently fake. Is America this dumb……I am scared for our future.
WOW JUST WOW
July 11th, 2010 at 8:43 pm
The show is FAKE. Not reenactments, not dramatizations… 100% fake. Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (which has been enacted in all 50 states with minor deviations), does allow a private party to make a “self-help” repossession when a debtor defaults on an obligation. However, such a repossession must not constitute a “breach of the peace.” A breach of the peace can be something as simple as taking the collateral over the debtor’s verbal objection. Any use of physical force or intimidation is always a breach of the peace. Therefore, this show is 100% fake. Case closed.
July 12th, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Yep, I agree that it’s fake. It reminds me of Reno 911 without the comedians. Very obviously staged and as a former cameraman, I can assure you that you don’t get those beautiful angles and lighting without pre-planning.
July 13th, 2010 at 5:24 am
That half the people figured out it’s fake surprises me given what a mass of dumb f’ers I live around. Now the idiots are defending “All Worked Up” as real.
Reminds me of a guy who told me how he know pro wrestling is fake and then proceeded to proclaim, “that move was real”, “that was real, he really hit him”, …
Beam me up Scottie, there’s no sign of intelligent life here!
July 27th, 2010 at 11:42 pm
I saw the entire run of this show and I also feel that Operation Cheapo…I mean, Operation Repo is pure theatrics.
You got a bald-headed tough guy Matt Burch who likes to downtalk women like that and gets away with it, then you got a sex-pest pervert named Froylan Tercero who got face all screwed up from a recent brawl and being such a crybaby about ruining his “looks”, Sonia Pizarro who is lacking exercise, Lyndah Pizarro happens to be a spoiled primadonna brat acts like a drama queen and finally Luis Pizarro, an overweight self-centered punk who likes to threaten people, including women.
Is Operation Repo worth watching for entertainment like the soon-to-be cancelled Wife Swap? No.
August 7th, 2010 at 9:33 am
“What, you can’t fire someone and hire them back the next day. That happens all the time. When the person that fires you cools off and has time to think about it, sometimes they change their mind.”
I would understand if they fired him for being late, or arguing with his boss, then change their mind the next day but the guy FLIPPED a repoed car because he couldn’t hold in his shit. No one would EVER rehire someone after doing that.
Fake show is fake.
August 9th, 2010 at 3:30 am
so dissapointed wtf! ITS FAKE? love that show….. but they even have interviews on the characters, is this lies too? are Matt and the other guys not even repo’s, but actors? doesnt seems right
August 9th, 2010 at 10:02 pm
RIP Operation Repo, you were a great show. You had me at “it ain’t no joke…if you don’t pay that note” and I fell for your outrageous antics, and Sonya’s boyish good looks.
To tell you the truth, Frankie killed you. Once he emerged on the scene I got suspicious and I knew that your end had finally begun. Wikipedia confirmed this for me- your disease was fatal- your show was diagnosed with a fatal tumor, it’s cancer spread and was called “reenactments”.
But now I know you are fake and there is no way I can watch anymore. I will always remember the fond episodes we shared basking in the glow of Californian shenanigans. I will miss Matt’s super amazing WWE wrestler moves.
August 14th, 2010 at 9:06 pm
Duh its fake but its based on actual events that matt and froy and the gang have experienced on the job but they re-enact them on tv if u go back and watch the pilot episode u will see the first couple are real but the others are re-enacted
August 15th, 2010 at 2:52 pm
The worst example is the time they repo’d an SUV from a ranch and these guys shot at them. The camera crew was still there while the people were shooting lol. It was a cool show at first but lately it has become so outrageous that you can’t even pretend it’s real. Like when they got a van from the 3-member marching band or when they repossessed a helicopter.
And don’t down wikipedia so much. It’s not all 100% accurrate but we use it in medical school to reference details about certain compounds. I mean it’s pretty obvious this show is fake.
August 17th, 2010 at 10:27 am
HERE YOU GO.. I to and surprised that more people haven’t put this together. Lou Pizarro was a boxer in Puerto Rico, after retiring he created the show on Telemundo. In 2008 it was picked up in America. The funny thing is that they never “say” anything is real. Lou owns a production company, EGA Productions in San Fernando. It is ALL for entertainment and it works! They even made a movie titled Operation Repo: The Movie. Google all of this. Lous is a brilliant Creator / Producer, not a repo guy! Brilliant! They also produce a couple of pther TV shows on Telemundo.
August 31st, 2010 at 12:47 am
LOL! For the people here who think this show is real, I’m going to burst your bubble.
I work for the largest limousine company in SoCal. Operation Repo booked one of our Chrysler 300 limos and shot the scene on the rooftop of a parking structure in Los Angeles. I’m not sure if it aired because I don’t watch this stupid show.
And Ryan, the people who are blurred out didn’t sign the release form or weren’t approached to sign the release form. And, yes, I still have the signed release form at our office.
August 31st, 2010 at 1:11 am
For sure the show is fake. In one episode, they are to repo an airplane. “matt” hides in a closet, the so called owner walks in, says something like “hi can I help you” and then matt jumps out of the closet, grabs the guy, puts him in a full nelson and body slams him into a desk. Ok, that is assault and battery, a criminal act. In the real world that is a lawsuit, a slam dunk, no defense, particularly as it was filmed.
September 21st, 2010 at 8:31 pm
i love that sown and I think it is real
September 22nd, 2010 at 3:04 pm
I don’t know anything about the repo business, but they love to portray (and say it) as “hook it and book it”. The owners aren’t cooperative and are often combative.
Question: why don’t they just make their pickups in the middle of the night, while the owners are asleep?
September 29th, 2010 at 7:22 pm
This show sucks !! Could that fat b*tch be any uglier or fatter – I think not !!! She’s nasty. TruTV has sunk so low in the last few years, with these re-enactment shows. When they come on I flip the channel to something else!!!
October 4th, 2010 at 7:44 pm
Check out Operation Repo on wikipedia.org. Most reality shows ARE scripted. Knowing the stories that the show profiles aren’t real doesn’t make me like the show any less; it’s very entertaining. I also find that other viewers have noticed the discrepancies in the show funny- don’t be disappointed because the show isn’t “real,” it’s still hilarious!
October 4th, 2010 at 10:50 pm
I always wondered if this show was so popular why is there never anything about them in the press,if the were thinking people they could hookup with weight watchers and make a million each,i wonder wich one is going to die first from being to fat.
October 19th, 2010 at 2:57 am
For those that think Operation Repo is real …have a look at this, then rethink it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jAF7QaMjq8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5_Ayh2LIig&feature=related
the people in Operation Repo are paid actors. End of argument
October 28th, 2010 at 12:57 am
I watched 4 shows before I Google Fake or Real Repo. Now I know it is Fake and Bad acting! I feel like an idiot but I now accept the truth. I laugh some still think it is real. True dummies.
October 29th, 2010 at 10:50 pm
This show is 100% fake. It is strictly for entertaining us. Those guys are sitting back and laughing at you guys for thinking its real.
Would you like some strangers walk up to your property and take your car, atv, biat etc….without providing any proof of a repo? If you answer yes…I’m coming to your house and taking your car.
They cannot lay a hand on you, otherwise is a lawsuit. How many times have you seen Matt, Lius tackling, or pushing people?
You cannot use peppered spray on people.
No I’d
I can go on and on.
People get a life. The show is a FAKE
November 21st, 2010 at 2:19 am
This show is as “real” as professional wrestling. Or maybe not even that much. More like a three dollar bill. Real repo crews don’t act or operate like this. Just look at that Sonya, for instance. She walks around in that ugly black dress, all those tattoos and facial piercings. A woman like that would stand out anywhere. The last thing you want is to attract attention to yourself. Matt’s fighting acts are also obviously phony. Look at that episode where he launches an unprovoked attack on that guy when they “repo” that helicopter. If that isn’t assault and caught on cameras too, then it is clearly a staged act. In real-life he would be charged and probably sued as well. The whole show is just cheap entertainment. Watch it like you watch the WWE.
January 7th, 2011 at 7:22 pm
The disclamer got me wondering . Also it is right how they never show paper work . Then , good idea though it is , I doubt any of them take camera crews along with them . As for the way they beave . I live in the UK therefore have never really thought anything of taking into consideration that methods vary form country to country . And sorry , but I somehow could belive that that would be more like the way it is done in the USA .
There is one point though . If they are actors , have any of them appeared in any other shows . Been trying to find out but unsucessful . David
January 24th, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Was fooled for a few clips on youtube..
but the clip with the guys getting shot at was just to absurd.
It looked very real, but no way normal cameraman will put his life on the line for a Tahoe.
Also the “Repo” actors drove off getting fired at while being filmed from close to the shooters…they left them behind to film?
wiki did the rest…

Okay, so the show is renacted. We get that. The disclaimer at the beginning says that the events are real, not the footage. But my problems with the portrayals are:
1) They do not wear uniforms or carry identification. Very unprofessional, and probably illegal.
2) They are very quick to get into fights. They do very little to actually try to be calm, coureous, and professional. Yelling “calm down!!” is counterproductive.
3) Matt, especially, is apparently in it for the fights, or at least the enactment of fights.
If these people were actually a repo company, they would be the most unprofessional ones out there.
Overall, it’s trash TV. Some people like that, some don’t, take it or leave it.
February 3rd, 2011 at 3:15 pm
I knew it was fake all the time, the fights were to fake to be real.Do you really think taking a car from bunch of real gangsters ends up the leader giving up the key voluntarly?? i dont thinks so!
February 10th, 2011 at 1:23 pm
Of course it’s fake… every episode they break the law and film themselves. If it were real, they would all have hundreds of law suits on their asses and probably be in jail too. Especially that fat fuck Sonia.
February 17th, 2011 at 3:12 pm
I think the dead give a way that proves this show is so fake is Matt’s terrible acting. About 9 times out of 10, he always gets injured somehow. And yes, half the crap he does is considered assault. Has anyone ever noticed that every time he “fights” he HAS to take the guy to the ground? Really? That’s stupid. He doesn’t even know any chokes. As someone previously stated, he had some guy in a full Nelson. Well, it’s actually pretty easy to get out of that. He shows he has NO submissive (definitely no jiu jitsu) training of any kind. Anyhow, those are my 2 cents. This show is SO fake!!!!!
February 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 pm
Any MORON who thinks Operation Repo is real… must think the Snuffleupagus on Sesame Street is a REAL, living wooly mammoth. LOL Gimme a friggin break, they are the only repo business that doesn’t have the power of stealth on their side. C’mon, you mean to tell me 100% of the time, they go and repossess a car… the owners are ALWAYS, there?? Bullshit!! Real repo men… repossess cars, 80% of the time, when the owner is not there or is asleep. Most people don’t know their car is repossessed, until they look out the window. My brother got his 89 Ford Mustang 5.0 notchback, repossessed in North Carolina, at nitetime… the only thing he heard, was when the truck drove away with his car. Also, reality shows SUCK… I’d rather take a dump, then watch a reality show… at least, I’m doing something productive. LOL TruTV has the nerve to call themselves “Actuality TV” when all their shows are FAKEASS stupidity. We live in a society of liars.
February 22nd, 2011 at 11:12 pm
Oh,BTW, Valerie BosDICK… fall back and rest your neck. You have to be the most NAIVE, dumbass on any forum I’ve ever seen. If you think Operation CRAPO is real… then I’ve got a Unicorn, I’d like to sell you.
March 6th, 2011 at 1:33 pm
the show is obviously fake, like the information above says, the disclaimer before the show even starts should tell you that….. plus the acting is so shitty….but there are some tight rides, thats just about the only perk
March 9th, 2011 at 11:14 pm
Yous people are dumb, this show is completely 100% real.
March 14th, 2011 at 11:51 pm
funny thing about DOG…he cant carry a gun cause he spent alot of time in prison for felonies before he started that show. THATS obe reason why he doesnt carry. another reason is they cant publically shoot people on a nationwide tv show or they’rd be lawsuits up the azz & if his co. is real…it would be shut down faster than a fart can sail in the santa ana winds. i think its funny hes never busted hardcore felons….no1 for murder…no1 for terrorism…etc. why??? the producers & the crew doesnt wanna take a chance cuz u def dont wanna bring a mace to a gun fight.
AWESOME SITE BLAKE!!!
March 14th, 2011 at 11:59 pm
DOGS site is legit though. if u google dakine bail bonds…the 2nd main link leads u to this…
http://www.dogthebountyhunter.com/
now im not sayin his co. is legit. i fully dont know 100%. the people on his site that are supposed to be convicts could be actors & actresses. when the show is shut off…they might lock the doors & put away all the camera equip. all the stuff in the place could be a front. i dunno for sure. what i do know is YES YES YES…OPERATION REPO IS A FRAUD!!!
AGAIN BLAKE…AWESOME SITE BRO!!!
March 23rd, 2011 at 8:06 pm
Heads up folks,
Not only is this fake, but it is putting repossessor’s in the field in danger.
All the people who believe this is real are those who perpetuate the problem. As, obviously, you must be naive. We have lost several repossessor’s this week due to violence from debtors who knew the outcome of not paying their note.
It is insane that this show is allowed to portray situations that are obviously fake, and claim that they are re-enactments.
Every California repossession company and employee must be licensed. If you can’t find a license then they are acting outside the law in the state of CA.
http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RAE&p_qte_pgm_code=2420
I have not watched this show as I feel it puts the people I employ in danger. I do not know the names of the employees who act as though they are repossessors. Put their names in the above website and find out for yourself if they are actually able to repo in CA.
Also, those who have pointed out the acts of violence that the actors in the show perform during a recovery, are absolutely correct. It is illegal.
Above and beyond illegal, it would cause law suits for the repossession company on up. Meaning that the financial institution that is STUPID enough to send these actors repossession assignments could lose their shirts too.
There are way too many ways to prove this show is fake. Those on here that say it is real, do not have any real backing, just that they FEEL it is REAL.
I feel like a millionaire doesn’t make it so.
March 27th, 2011 at 4:51 pm
No one knows this is really real or fake, why he fired and hired Matt is kind of obvious, being mad and coolling down and realizing firing was a wrong choise isn’t that weird.
The reasons for no uniforms is indeed kinda weird, but no one of them want’s to wear uniforms. It is also a family corporate.
and @ Ware, not any1 can peper spray people, they have extra rights, the can trespass without being sued, they DO show proof, they have a paper with the proof everytime, do you even watch this show?
April 2nd, 2011 at 8:56 pm
How could anyone believe these over weight heifers could be actual repo people?
Especially the pleasantly plump skin head who cries for mommy every time there is a blast, gun, or any type of physical confrontation.
This show is a disgrace
April 2nd, 2011 at 11:19 pm
op rep IS not the only show that dose this
the world has bad and good shows op rep is just one the shows – MTV and all worked up fox MTV2 dog cartoons soap op and
other shows so be it \: live your life the way you want
NO ONE MAKES YOU WATCH THIS SHOWS WATCH WAT YOU LIKE
April 3rd, 2011 at 4:43 pm
This just has to be fake. The repossessions are all, essentially, the same. Different cars, different “owners”, but you can tell what’s going to happen before it happens.
Years ago, I had a car repossessed. The repo guy showed me the paperwork and I had to sign it. My situation was simple…I didn’t make the payments. I didn’t give the guy any hassles, he did his job and left. I went and made the back payments, got my car back that day.
I love to watch the show for the humor.
April 15th, 2011 at 10:43 pm
I can’t believe that anybody ever believed this was real! I watched one episode and within minutes knew it was fake. Matt tackling people on sight…COME ON! That would quickly earn him a spot in jail for assault and battery. For those of you that think it is real, ask yourself this: If it is real, then why do they need to go through the trouble of re-enacting “real” events? Why not just follow them around on real repos? The reason is that because nothing ever happens on real repos…..so they need to manufacture all sorts of idiotic fake drama.
April 17th, 2011 at 3:21 pm
wikipedia says it’s a re-enactment based on true stories. My sister had her car repoed, they didn’t get it for a long time cause she put her doberman in it at night. My brother in law worked at a buy here pay here car lot, and he had to repo late payment cars and alot of the stuff you see on operation repo really does happen. He finally quit cause he was afraid he was going to get hurt or shot. He got pushed and shoved, and people would damage the car, it was dangerous.
April 18th, 2011 at 2:54 am
Well, what about the stuff that happened to Froy’s face? Was that fake too? I’m seriously asking… Something like that makes it a bit confusing. Disclaimers such as theirs are very ambiguous and misleading.
April 20th, 2011 at 8:39 pm
I am a repo agent and I can tell you the show is so fake. I have been doing repos for 4 yrs and have never had the kinds of confrontations they have. People realize the car is up for repo when they stop making payments.
I do not and never will take any family with me when I do a repo. Lou and his crew are just another group of trailer park trash that have found a way to make money.
These morons give real repo agents like myself a bad name and rep. They need to take this show off tv and and send lou and his gang packing.
April 23rd, 2011 at 10:59 pm
I no longer watch this show after realizing it was fake during a fight scence…..it became real obvious that it was fake….that was the end of watching that show.
April 27th, 2011 at 8:13 pm
Operation Repo is a REINACTMENT based on REAL events. The stories within the show do hold truth but the over dramatic stuff doesn’t. It’s simply a retelling of a TRUE story in a way that will attract viewers. Yes, Operation Repo uses actors and things of that story.
Almost anything you will see that’s dubbed as a reality show is staged to a certain degree, anyone who watches reality shows should know this. Unless it’s actually shot from a camera, like World’s Dumbest/Most Shocking/Worst Drivers or World’s Wildest Police videos, then it’s simply a reinactment of a real event that was stretched to meet the public eye.
It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s real or fake, it’s entertainment and I enjoy watching it.
Are there cases of repossession that do have bad outcomes? Yes. Repo men have been shot, killed, beaten and have had acts of violence against them.
http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f10c937/60
This is Edumnd’s Repo Story forum. If you want real cases of repossession, then read some of the things people are saying here. Operation Repo may be a fake show, but what they put up with is a somewhat real representation of true stories from repo men.

April 28th, 2011 at 4:54 am
Sorry believers, this is a tv show not a reality show.
This repo company does no exist. They have no
lot to put the cars in. Lou wanted to be a movie
producer, actor and director unfortunately he put
this show together. People having their cars, ect.
are just getting their 5 minutes on tv. FACT; there
are no police records of the fighting, shooting or
assult of anykind. They do file for filming permits.
If these are actors doing reenacts why are some
why are all new people. Are there 50 actors on call ?
April 28th, 2011 at 5:05 am
Why are some actors faces blurred out ? They are actors correct ?
Are there 50,000 actors on call ? Poor acting as well.
It is a fact that filming permits are issued. Lou is a film producer, actor and director.
Search anywhere you want, all you will find is an office for tv production
May 6th, 2011 at 5:01 am
This show is obviously fake. If the disclaimer at the beginning of the show isn’t enough, then common sense should be. Anyone who actually believes this show to be unscripted and spontaneous needs to be chemically sterilized for fear of spreading what ever gene that has made you so dumb. I could compile a list of legit legal reasons why this show is complete BS, but ill just give one: put your self in the persons shoes who is getting their car repo’d. Some random non uniform people come up and take your car and you run out and see cameras and lights and producers, yet no one from the crew or television network ask you to sign a waiver to release the video so you don’t sue them. This is America, land of the free and home of the sued. THEY CANT FILM YOU WITHOUT CONSENT.
May 19th, 2011 at 4:50 am
I watched a marathon recently and was hooked. “This show was Awesome” I thought. I watched afew episodes law night and thought the same. I looked it up one day bc i was bored and read that it was. Yes I’m a moron for thinking this was real. Clearly the disclaimer gives it away but I mean, its entertaining. Everything out there isn’t real and I’m not gonna stop watching because of the lack of authenticity. Bummed yeah but not thay bummed. Ill move on. They’re dpimg this so that we can be entertained anyway. Only thing that bothers me, is that its on TruTv. This show isn’t “actuality” move it to SpikeTv or something.
May 19th, 2011 at 4:55 am
Please exuse my typos btw lol
June 11th, 2011 at 1:08 am
Come on u guys what person with brains think this is a real show? Am I really that smart or are u guys that dumb…sorry but really its not even a question
June 15th, 2011 at 2:51 pm
Are American people really that naive?
That this type of program lead to a discussion is hilarious and not the program itself. If you don’t recognize this as fake, you really need to get out more.
In all the episodes we have never seen a fistfight, but there is always drama. When you are really pissed you do not yell and push. You start a fight.
But not in Operation Repo.
P.S.
You better get used to it; everything on tv is fake.
June 22nd, 2011 at 10:02 pm
Unfortunately the show is fake. I just turned it on and saw a acquaintance ‘ friend of mine acting on the show. What a huge disappointment. Watch the ratings now drop like a lead balloon, and cancellation soon to follow. What a shame.
June 23rd, 2011 at 3:21 am
Would people stop using Wikipedia as a reference anyone who passed the 6th grade should know it is not a reliable source anyone can post on that website. Also who cares if it’s fake or not as long as it entertains people. If this show is so bad for some people than don’t watch it ITS THAT PLAIN AND SIMPLE besides everyone knows shows like these are exaggerated so more people can watch.SO WHO CARES if people want to watch it let them it’s not going to make someone less intelligent for watching. I’m sure each and every one that posted something on here likes a show that is clearly fake but who cares u watch it anyway it’s for fun no one said fun things had to be analyzed and proven to be a fact.
July 2nd, 2011 at 3:51 am
I have never actually hated someone as much as i hate matt. He pisses me off so much i have to mute it when he talks, he is so damn ugly and wears those retarded overalls. Who does he think he is?? What normal person would ever date him?? Is he serious to think any good looking girl would ever give him their number??? I seriously hate this guy, i actually get mad they even have him on the show he adds nothing entertaining at all. I stopped watching it because of him, i hate him!!! He is a hillbilly inbred fucking retard!!!! The rest of the cast make me laugh but lyndah is lame. Hate Matt!!!!
July 2nd, 2011 at 5:17 pm
I’ve known the show was a re-enactment for a long time, but the destruction of Lou’s red F250 at a junk yard by a machine that literally ripped the truck to shreds? That looked pretty real.
July 5th, 2011 at 6:53 am
Doesn’t putting “(spoilers)” in the title pretty much give away the spoiler that it is indeed fake? I mean, what else could be a spoiler after the show is already assumed to be real? Not that I mind if people know, but as far as spoiler alerts go that one is pretty counter-productive.
July 6th, 2011 at 8:14 pm
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Repo
wiki says everything on the show is being “reenacted” by “actors”. So it’s fake in the sence that it’s not being filmed as an actual repo is happening.
July 10th, 2011 at 6:01 pm
I used to like this show until Froy tried to repo a Tahoe from a beach, the owner released the parking brake as Froy backed up to it. (Who puts an automatic suv in neutral then sets the parking brake?). And if you watch closely allot of people are trying to keep from smiling. And what about the “midget” episode. And you DON’T NEED THE KEYS for a repo order. So I believe it’s FAKE!
July 14th, 2011 at 12:31 am
This show might just be reenactments of real events that transpired while this repo group was repoing vehicles. Honestly though it’s still better entertainment then 95% of the completely retarded sitcoms that come on TV. I mean what the hell’s up with third rock from the sun, ghost whisperer or even smallville or whatever it’s called. I seriously can only watch like five minutes of those stupid sitcoms and then I’m about ready start sucking on the end of a gun barrel and end it all.
July 14th, 2011 at 12:49 am
Just a note I’ve been reading a ton of bull shit in these forums. Crap saying that it’s breech of peace and a bunch of other lawyer bull shit and that’s all that is, just for the record. I’ve had more than one vehicle repoed from my own house and the repo guys went right into my back yard snooping around to find the vehicle which I stashed at a friends house. Even after I called the cops and even after the cops arrived and I explained that the guys had been harassing me at my house for over a week they did nothing to these repo guys and I even had video evidence that proved the repo guys were harassing me. However, I hurried up and paid the bank after the first time these dumb ass repo men came by my place and no longer was late they still came by for 3 more days giving me a shit load of problems and still the police held no charges against them I had to finally call the bank I had already paid to get these guys to stop being retards because the cops didn’t do shit and basically told me they were within their rights and couldn’t touch them because it was their (the repo mens) jobs. You idiots who actually buy that load of lawyer bull shit better never have late payments or you’ll be in a world of a surprise.
July 14th, 2011 at 1:01 am
Also another note I think the argument is not if this show is real. The argument is if the show is based on actual true events. It’s pretty obvious that the show is a reenactment it says it is in small print at the bottom of the screen right when the show starts, if anyone thought the show is live they’d be as stupid as a lawyer is when they tell you what people can or can’t do legally. Anyone stupid enough to listen to a lawyer obviously has never dealt with one before.
July 20th, 2011 at 9:21 pm
If anyone has a dought about if this is fake, GO TO Hollywood.com and search each members name. You see that each and everyone is an Actor. Nothing more than an ACTOR. ITS A SHOW NOT REAL !!!!
July 21st, 2011 at 5:59 am
I have 1 question. ive never seen where they take the cars in any episode
July 21st, 2011 at 7:18 pm
How FAKE can you get??
I was a REAL Repo man in the L.A. area for almost 10 years…
NOTHING on this show is REAL …
All Fake from “Actors” to “Scripts” to “Locations”
Notice the same streets and buildings appear in the episodes …. Same Chatsworth, CA film locations… Some are Commercial bldgs off Nordhoff & Devonshire Sts … the rest are surrounding family neighborhoods ….
Sometimes, they drift off to Pacoima and San Fernando to appease the Hispanic viewers ..
Basically – The whole thing is staged ….
July 22nd, 2011 at 11:39 pm
When my daughter told me this show was fake – I couldn’t believe it – but really….it explains a lot. Matt is always getting jacked up and Sonya … well – what can you say? I have not watched it since.
July 28th, 2011 at 2:01 am
TruTV OUGHT to be called FAKE TV. Never watch the show anymore..
July 28th, 2011 at 4:23 am
OMG..does it really matter if the show is fake or not? I watch it for the entertainment value anyways..geez. Besides, I love to watch Sonia and Froy bicker all the time..lol.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:23 am
Besides..the disclaimer in the beginning of the shows states that they are basically reenactments of actual events.
August 1st, 2011 at 9:16 pm
now they got new shirt and they argue not to where them ,sonio needs a new make up concelor man she ugley and mat needs to get bruce lee to show him how to fite, what a jock,
September 2nd, 2011 at 4:56 pm
Th fact that this argument has gone on for years is pretty funny. It seems like the general consensus is that the show is fake. I actually assumed that it was fake from the moment I started watching it, because of the disclaimer, but the more I watched it, the more I was convinced that it couldn’t possibly be entirely fake.
REASONS WHY OPERATION REPO MUST CONTAIN SOME REAL FOOTAGE:
• The disclaimer at the beginning says that people’s names have been altered for the reenactments. If that’s actually the case, then why do they bleep out the last name and address of every owner when one of the repo agents reads the information off of the repossession order? So, the names must not have been changed after all, which means that the disclaimer isn’t entirely accurate. So, everyone in this thread who has used the disclaimer as the main argument for the show being fake needs to come up with a different argument.
• Why do they blur out people’s faces in some of the “reenactments”? I think it’s profoundly ridiculous to assume that the production company hired actors to reenact the scenes, only to blur out their faces in post-production. Since there obviously can’t be any unwilling participants in a reenactment, the fact that faces are blurred in some scenes proves that at least some of the footage has to contain real people who did not want their identities revealed when the show aired.
• The repossessors are either the best actors the world has ever seen, or actual people responding to actual situations. The emotions and reactions that Matt, Lyndah, Froy, Sonia and Lou exhibit on the show make it VERY plausible that they are involved in real life situations. I’m not talking about Matt’s explosive anger. That’s easy to fake. I’m talking about when they show fear, shock, anxiety and frustration. That stuff is not as easy to fake and when it’s shown, it makes it more likely than not that some of these situations are real. On the other hand, some of the scenes are completely lacking in any real emotional expressions, which indicate that some of the scenes are reenacted, but also serves to reinforce the authenticity of other scenes by showing what horrible actors the repossessers are when they’re actually forced to do a reenactment.
September 6th, 2011 at 5:16 am
Ha, I figured this out after watching 5 minutes of this crap, the acting is sub-porno quality.
In America there’s a sucker born every
minutesecond.September 7th, 2011 at 9:29 pm
let me tell some of you people a thing or two . repo men do not wear a stupid uniform all the time. that is why we sneak around like a thief in the nite you idiots.
September 9th, 2011 at 4:00 am
Operation repo is fake. There are laws in all states that dictate on how a repossession should take place. It is illegal for a repossessor agent to push you out of the car and repossess the vehicle. California Law states that the repossessor agent can repossess property in a peaceful manner. If not, the repossessors can be sued, face criminal prosecution, and Loss of their license. If your vehicle is being repossessed in california and you get into the driver seat, you are in possession of the vehicle and the repossessors have no legal rights to take it at that time. Law enforcement will not get involved (civil case) unless there is a crime being committed (I.e Fighting, pushing, yelling. etc) or there is a court order.
The Supreme Court of the United States has emphasized that state action will not be found in the purely private conduct of an individual without state assistance. Police represent the State!
The presence of a police officer, a patrol car accompanying the repossessor, or the showing of a badge has been found by several courts to constitute “Color of Law” and has taken the repo out of the area of “purely private conduct without state assistance.” It is therefore a violation of the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court of New Mexico has ruled that a Military Police Officer just at the scene of a repossession on a military base was a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Unless you have a proper court order, do not take a police officer or sheriff with you on a self-help repossession.
September 16th, 2011 at 5:33 pm
How many times are they going to repo that white GM cargo van??? I’ve counted at least three different episodes where they repo the same car.
September 23rd, 2011 at 4:59 pm
I am new comer to op.repo. I`m a older white female, so I`ve seen alot of things. First, some one needs to make matt, act like he has some sense, and dress more like a business man than a jerk. Luis needs to grow some balls, since it is his business, and put matt in his place. Matt is a big mouth over grown stupid ass, he couldn`t fight his way out of a paper bag.Grow up Matt, and shut your mouth before some one shuts it for you. You are a big baby. Act and dress like you have a responible job.,shut your mouth and quit argueing with those people, get the cars or trucks as quitely as possible, then get the hell out of there. dope..
Plus Luis give all your repo. people a small can of pepper spray, cell phone and any thing else they need for protection, before they approach the owner, then the need to run around looking for something is not there. Stupid !!!!!!
My son use to work for a bank and he repo`ed cars at night and very quitely. The bank has a master key or jimmy for each
car.So I know alot of this program is for intertainment. As far as Lyndah , she is as phony as her name. I thought Sonia was terrible at frist, but she has more sense than all her co-workers
October 3rd, 2011 at 9:17 pm
Its funny to see people Get offended when there’s undeniable proof that their reality is false.. its like telling a christian their faith is wrong Laugh out loud. Anyways bottom line, it is fake.. yes its based on real events and it doesn’t say where the events took place or if its even the same company that experience these events. I have seen their actors recycled on other shows like spikes tv MANSWERS and 1000 ways to die. You are either stupid or ignorant to think otherwise.
thanks
Its for entertainment for those who like real-base life stories. For those who don’t, change the channel. PS. They blur and change the names of the people to add to drama and realism to psych the idiots who do not read the disclaimer. Just because they use different names and identities of the perpetrator doesn’t change the fact that its STILL A REENACTMENT, so it debunks nothing STOP using that excuse.
October 7th, 2011 at 4:50 pm
I am a Police Officer and yes, we do get called to attend repossessions . We are not there to act on behalf of the repossession agency, as mentioned in previous threads. That is considered to be a civil law matter between the finance company and the person who took out the loan. We dont get involved in this part.
We attend 9 times out of 10 at the request of the repo company or agent. Primarily when they are concerned that an individual is or has the potential to be violent. We are there to contain or prevent any breaches of the peace, also mentioned in earlier threads. Again this is the only reason. We just are there to keep the peace.
Re the Police on the show. Some are clearly fake – lone cop with aviators springs to mind – but some are the real deal. Perhaps called by a concerned resident over a “fight” happening in their street? Its easy to pick the real Police. We will avoid the camera!
Yeah i think the show is fake but who really cares, its a laugh and i enjoy watching it. Its entertaining. Isnt that what tv is about?
And yes sometimes people in real life do act like the ones in the show. They keep my employed!
October 9th, 2011 at 10:42 pm
real or not if lou’s sister came to get my car she could have it asap that way I wouldn’t have to look at her
October 12th, 2011 at 1:05 pm
this show is fake. the episode when the biker punches the guy, I put it in slow mo and you can see the guys fist completely miss his face and like 3 frames after the fist passes his face only then does his head move. totally fake shit.
October 13th, 2011 at 7:07 am
The show is fake, in one episode the big bald guy was hit over the head and shoulders with a beer bottle.
The bottle shattered and not a drop of blood was shed.
Glass cuts people, nobody could survive that without a scratch.
s
October 27th, 2011 at 8:19 am
I live in South Africa and we have just started watching “Operation Repo”. I think we are on episode 9. To us we can even see it is fake.
Although not familiar with your laws, I do know that if that was in South Africa the repo team would have been shot a long time ago.
Just watch the bald idiot Matt fight and it is clear to see that he is a peacock. He has no self defense or hand to hand combat experience as you would presume and expect in that line of work.
The other reason you can see it is fake is because who would run away from those Obesely fat Repo people. Pushing their weight around, they would only last 2 minutes.
I believe that in America you can sue or be sued for just about anything. So then why have the Repo company not had the pants sued off them for pepper spraying people in their own property.

I can deal with it being “re-enacted”. What I just can’t handle is, the number of times that fat, ugly toddler (talking about Sonia!) says “obviously” in one show.

Looking up there
1.) EGA Recovery Exists and has a valid Repo Permit good through 31st July 2012
2.) Luis Pizarro also has a valid Repossessor Permit
City of Valencia, County of LA.
Furthermore you can find copies of Froy’s, Sonia’s, Lyndah’s, licenses (all well expired by now) on that site as well.
In fact the ONLY one of the motley crew that seems to have a current permit is Luis M Pizarro. So yea is the show “staged”-probably. Does it use actual footage at some points-again probably. But considering several of the main character’s permits have LONG since expired most of them could easily be arrested for at minimum operating as a repossessor without a permit.

-CHARACTER ANALYZATION-
Matt is psychotic and for the most part Retarded, he walks in somewhere and starts taking a car, a guy starts to resist thinking he’s being robbed and this bald bastard starts choking the guy out, speaking of choking out, Have you seen the episode where he strangles a guy to unconsciousness who took a vow of silence? Then Matt starts apologizing nearly in tears, Speaking of choking, Matt can choke on a dick for all I know.
Then that fat ugly blow-fish looking ho Sonia thinks it’s Boss (Yeh, I said “it” it’s that fricking ugly) challenging gang members when she was shot in the ass cheek, which more likely swallowed the bullet for the love of god. Talking incoherent English, transforming the simple sentence “We are from the finance company” To “We arr weet dar Figh Naanse Kumpahny” and choke holding other women simply because they are better looking than it.
And then theres Froylan Tercero, Yeah that round headed mexican who thinks he’s the shit. Talks about how chicks love talking to him, WAIT WHAT? It’s your job to talk to other human beings, and aren’t you the same guy who Married Sonia? Chicks don’t Like you bro, just admit it, simple enough.
Then theres Luis, yeah the big bucket of meat who looks like he weighs 643lbs at the minimum. That goatee looks like a sixth chin, and his insanely weird mumbling about the idiocracy of the people they reposess cars from is nearly inaudible. And he has the audacity to talk as if what he’s talking about is Real?!
In conclusion this show is just a bunch of fat people and one bald moustached guy with 3rd Grade education at the max, who thinks it’s fine to pick fights with innocent people. It saddens me gullible people still delve deeply into this show which should better be titled “Operation Fake-O” The O standing for obese, “It aint no joke if you dont drop those tacos.”
