The Tippmann name brand is renowned for it’s good quality paintball guns. Over the years I have used Tippmann guns with no problems and I have never had to repair a gun or any part of the gun. I have been using the Tippmann a5 for a while and I have come to love it’s availability, usability, and its customizability. Now I don’t mean to sound like a preacher, but this is a gun that someone should be talking about.

Many people like to use it for woods ball and for good reason. The Tippmann a5 has a slower firing rate which is not ideal for speed ball, but usually yields greater accuracy. In woods ball a player isn’t likely to shoot as often as they would in speed ball. Mainly because they would give away their position. Instead the player will shoot to hit, only firing two to three balls and then will move to a different position so that they aren’t easily detected.

Many people use the Tippmann a5 because it is very reliable. Repairing a gun in the middle of a game isn’t something many players want to deal with. Because the Tippmann has no electronic parts it is much less likely to break down. To function it relies on co2. The Tippmann a5 has a cyclone feed system which uses some co2 to operate the mechanism that feeds the paintballs. The a5′s cyclone system makes getting a paintball lodged in your hopper virtually impossible and is a much more reliable hopper than a gravity fed model.

One thing about the Tippmann a5 that many people like is the option to use the flatline barrel. The flatline makes your paintballs go much farther than with a regular barrel. The barrel is made in such a way that it puts a spin on the ball which gives you much more range. Being able to shoot people that can’t shoot you back gives you a huge advantage in any paintball game. The only drawback to the Tippmann a5′s flatline barrel is that it is louder than a normal barrel, but the noise is easy to fix. The barrel is in a cylinder casing. If you open the cylinder you can put expanding foam in the space between the barrel and the cylinder. This will act like a silencer and will reduce noise.

The Tippmann a5 speaks for itself. I have never met someone who didn’t like it or who had many problems with it. The a5′s design makes it much easier to take apart when you have to clean it because there aren’t as many parts and there are no electronic parts. I would recommend this gun to anyone whether they are a beginner or a veteran to paintball.
