One weekend my family decided that it would be a cool idea to go parasailing, so the three of us went to St. John’s Pass in Florida to see if we could make our wishes of flying through the air possible. When we arrived at the Pass we decided to go down the wooden boardwalk before we went parasailing. Every time I go to St. John’s Pass I always love it. I enjoy the environment and being next to the water. There are plenty of places to have lunch or dinner and lots of delicious soft serve icecream.
We decided to eat lunch before parasailing and ended up at one of the restaurants on the boardwalk. After eating we decided that some ice cream would be a good dessert. Ice cream is everywhere on the boardwalk so it wasn’t hard to find a shop that served our favorite, soft serve. After we finished our ice cream it was time to go parasailing.
We were a little nervous at first, but after talking to someone who had done it before we felt a little better. The man we talked to said that the ride is so smooth that you can sip a cocktail without spilling it. That was a little bit hard for me to believe, but I would find out soon enough.
After boarding the boat one of the men on started telling us about the safety rules and how to put the harness on. After we were out in the ocean it was time for us to embark on our flight. We all slipped into the harnesses and hooked up to the massive parachute. All three of us were able to go at the same time.
The flight was just as the man had described. It was surprising smooth and we could see for miles around. The driver of the boat took us close to the public beach and we were able to see all of the ants that occupied it. After several minutes in the air it was time to go back down to the boat.
Parasailing at St. Johns Pass was an awesome experience and I would love to do it again. The only regret that I have is that the flight didn’t last long enough. But that is to be expected; time flies when you are having fun.
